Every Kansas resident can get a free State Library of Kansas eCard through any local library, which unlocks statewide digital books on cloudLibrary, Freading and more — but not Libby. Libby access comes from your own local library card, so where you sign up matters.
About 180 smaller libraries pool one shared Sunflower eLibrary Libby collection — one member card covers them all. The separate catalogs worth collecting are Wichita, Topeka & Shawnee County, Lawrence, and the Johnson County + Olathe shared catalog. Hutchinson and Garden City currently offer no Libby at all.
