Michigan cards are issued by your home library (where you live, own property, or sometimes work). The statewide MILibraryCard program only covers borrowing printed materials in person at participating libraries — it does not include ebooks or Libby.
There is no single statewide Libby catalog. Instead, Michigan libraries pool ebooks in regional consortia — Download Destination (The Library Network, metro Detroit), Metro Net, Suburban Library Cooperative (Macomb), Great Lakes Digital Libraries (Upper Peninsula), Up North Digital Collection, Lakeland Digital Library (west Michigan), Southwest Michigan Digital Library, Woodlands, White Pine, Mideastern, and the Midwest Collaborative — plus independents like Detroit, Kent District, Grand Rapids, Genesee District, Flint, Clinton-Macomb, Jackson District, Traverse Area, Bay County and St. Clair County. Helpfully, most of these collections now interlend as reciprocal partner libraries inside Libby, so one Michigan card can already browse many catalogs.
