Missouri has no statewide card program โ access beyond your home library depends on a patchwork of reciprocal agreements. The patchwork is generous in the St. Louis and Kansas City metro areas, where neighboring systems grant each other's residents full cards, so metro residents can realistically collect several cards.
The Libby landscape rewards that collecting: the big systems โ St. Louis County, St. Louis Public, Kansas City Public, Mid-Continent, Springfield-Greene County, Daniel Boone Regional (Columbia), St. Charles City-County and Scenic Regional โ each run their own independent Libby collections. Meanwhile about 120 smaller libraries pool one shared catalog, Missouri Libraries 2Go (open only to libraries serving under 100,000 people), and nine municipal libraries in St. Louis County share the Municipal Library Consortium collection.
The map pins every major independent system plus a broad sample of the ~120 Missouri Libraries 2Go members โ one card from any member opens the same shared catalog.
Each pin is a library system (one card per system). Click a dot for details. Progress saves in your browser.
