Nebraska library cards are issued locally and each library sets its own policy, but the NebrasKard reciprocal-borrowing program lets cardholders of participating libraries check out materials at other participating libraries across the state. Many libraries also issue free or low-cost cards to nearby non-residents โ ask at the desk.
For Libby, nearly 200 town and city libraries pool one shared Nebraska OverDrive Libraries collection, so extra small-town cards add little to your digital shelf. The two big exceptions are Omaha Public Library and Lincoln City Libraries, which each run their own separate Libby collections โ those two cards are the valuable additions for ebook readers.
This map pins Omaha, Lincoln, and about 38 of the larger consortium member libraries to cover the whole state; the shared collection has many more small-town members.
Each pin is a library system (one card per system). Click a dot for details. Progress saves in your browser.
