New Hampshire library cards are issued town by town: each library serves its own residents (and usually people who work, study, or own property in town). There is no statewide card, and out-of-towners may be offered a nonresident card for a fee at some libraries.
For Libby readers the landscape is simple: over 200 of New Hampshire's public libraries pool one shared Libby collection, New Hampshire Downloadable Books, run with the State Library. Nearly every pin on this map is the same color — one New Hampshire card unlocks the whole shared catalog, so collecting extra NH cards adds almost nothing digitally.
The map shows the larger town libraries among New Hampshire's roughly 230 public libraries; almost all of the smaller ones share the same Downloadable Books catalog too.
Each pin is a library system (one card per system). Click a dot for details. Progress saves in your browser.
