Ohio is one of the easiest states for card collectors: any Ohio resident can get a free card at essentially any public library in the state. Most systems will register you on the spot with ID, and many offer instant online registration.
About 180 libraries pool their ebooks in The Ohio Digital Library, so one member card covers that whole shared catalog. The big separate collections worth collecting are the metro systems: Cleveland (CLEVNET) — 46 NE Ohio systems sharing one catalog — plus independents Cuyahoga County, Akron-Summit, Stark, Youngstown & Mahoning, Toledo Lucas County, Dayton Metro and Cincinnati & Hamilton County. Columbus Metropolitan and several Central Library Consortium neighbors share the Digital Downloads Ohio catalog.
Ohio has 251 public library systems; this map focuses on the metro systems, county district libraries, and larger community libraries that cover the state geographically. Small member libraries of the same shared catalog add no new Libby content.
