Library cards in Oregon are issued locally, but the Oregon Library Passport Program lets cardholders of 100+ participating libraries get a free card at other participating systems, and the Portland-metro systems (Multnomah, WCCLS, LINCC) honor each other's residents. In practice, most Oregonians can collect the state's key cards without paying a fee.
Most of Oregon's ~130 public libraries pool one shared Libby collection: Library2Go, run by the Oregon Digital Library Consortium. A card from any member — from Astoria to Ontario — unlocks the same catalog, so one Library2Go card is usually enough. The cards genuinely worth collecting are the three big independents that run their own separate Libby collections: Multnomah County Library (one of the busiest libraries in the US), Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS), and Deschutes Public Library in Bend.
This map condenses Oregon's ~130 libraries to about 56 pins: every county, regional, and district system, the LINCC and WCCLS cooperatives shown as a single pin where one card covers all members, CCRLS member libraries (one reciprocal card across Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties) shown individually, and city libraries in larger towns. Dozens of small municipal libraries that share the same Library2Go catalog are omitted.
