Utah cards are issued by your local city or county library, and most systems charge for out-of-area cards โ Salt Lake County, for example, charges non-residents $15/month (up to $180/year). Check each library's eligibility rules before planning a card-collecting trip.
The Libby landscape is simple: dozens of libraries across the state โ from Weber County and Provo to tiny town libraries โ pool one shared Beehive Library Consortium collection managed with the State Library, so one Beehive-member card covers most of Utah. The cards really worth collecting are the independents with their own separate Libby collections: Salt Lake County, Salt Lake City, Murray, and Cache County. (Davis County ran its own collection for years but has since merged into Beehive.)
The map pins every card-issuing system with a separate collection plus the larger Beehive member libraries; a handful of very small town libraries (also Beehive members) are not shown.
Each pin is a library system (one card per system). Click a dot for details. Progress saves in your browser.
